Dependencies

Back to TIM

This page lists the dependencies of TIM. The version number that follows the library name is the one that the prebuilt TIM Matlab was built against. This is useful to know in case a later version breaks backward compatibility.

External dependencies

Pastel 1.6.0

http://kaba.hilvi.org/pastel-1.6.0

Pastel is licensed under the MIT license. TIM refers to Pastel’s include files in the form pastel/sys/array.h.

Boost 1.77

http://www.boost.org

Boost is licensed under the Boost license. TIM only uses the template code found in Boost and thus requires no linking with object code. TIM refers to Boost’s include files in the form boost/operators.hpp.

Threading Building Blocks 4.2

https://www.threadingbuildingblocks.org/

Threading Building Blocks is licensed under the GPLv2 license, with the run-time exception. The latter specifically means that Pastel need not be made GPLv2 although it uses code from the TBB. This is similar to how the license of libstdc++ works. Pastel refer’s to Threading Building Blocks’s include files in the form tbb/parallel_for.h.

Remark 1.7.8

http://kaba.hilvi.org/remark-1.7.8

The documentation for TIM is written in Remark.

This library is not required to build TIM.

CMake 3.0

http://www.cmake.org

The build-system is written in CMake. CMake takes in a generic description of the build-process and generates the build-files for a specific platform, such as Visual Studio projects, makefiles, or Xcode projects.

CMake generates the compiler-specific build scripts (e.g. Visual Studio project file) to build Tim.
